Black Bottom Lemon Custard

My spoon is still stuck in a pie from The Blue Stove.  This time it finds itself in a Black Bottom Lemon Custard Pie. Why is it called black bottom, you say? No the crust is not burnt… though I thought the same thing. There is a layer of chocolate ganache between the delicious crust and the tangy lemon custard. It makes for quite an interesting spoon of pie.

I am going to call this one a sleeper lemon pie.  At first bite it tastes sweet with a mild hint of lemon, but them the tangy lemon flavor takes over the show.  If you like lemon pie this is a great one to try.
